Vocalocity Launches Online Backup and Storage

Small Business Customers Get 2GB of Online Storage for Free
 
ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 20, 2009) - Vocalocity, the leading provider of small business VoIP services, today announced it will offer customers online storage and backup services. All new and existing customers automatically get 2GB of storage for free with their accounts. For customers requiring more than 2GB per month, the company will offer cost-effective plans starting at $10 per month for 5GB.

"Online backup and storage has been a popular request from our small business customers," said David Politis, EVP and GM of Vocalocity. "Our new service provides customers with an easy way to backup their important information, with minimal effort and investment. Our free plan includes 2GB of storage -- enough space to store roughly 130,000 Word documents or 200,000 emails. This service will help protect our customers from data loss, improve collaboration among teams, and help reduce costs."

Once customers complete sign-up and download Vocalocity's file management software, they can begin managing their backups and online storage within a few minutes. Vocalocity's new service will help protect customers from data loss, while providing customers with a shared storage drive that can be accessed through the Web. The shared storage drive enables customers to store files on Vocalocity's servers that can be accessed by other authorized users.

"One of the most exciting features of our online backup and storage service is the shared storage drive option," adds Politis. "Customers can set up a shared drive on their service that enables them to share files similar to how they would in a traditional client-server environment. As teams continue to be more mobile, this is a great option to keep teams connected and help them to collaborate more effectively."

An additional benefit of Vocalocity's Online Backup and Storage service is data recovery. If a customer loses information off their computer, they can easily access the most recent version of their files online -- including documents, spreadsheets, emails and any other files the customer chooses to backup with the service.

All customer information is stored in Vocalocity's state-of-the-art data center, which also features additional security, backup and storage measures, ensuring customer information is safe, secure and available when customers need it.
