Oct 20, 2008 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --  SoSure, an IBM (NYSE:IBM) business partner selling subscription-based online backup for individuals and businesses, announced on Friday (17 October) the release of the latest version (1.2.0) of the IBM-based backup solution.

According to the company, the new release features full transparency of what has been backed up, added through a 24 hour log in the client itself. This enables the user to see what the program is doing and what has been backed up or restored. In case the user needs support, the logs can be sent to SoSure, allowing the company to diagnose issues quicker.

In addition, in the new version the company has made backing up .pdf files a default file type, allowing users to backup these files quicker and easier. Users are also able to store their .pdf files on IBM hosted servers. The software has also been optimised to reduce resource usage on the users PC.

SoSure offers a free 30 day trial, available for download from the company's homepage, http://www.sosure.com/. No other pricing details were disclosed.
