July 12, 2011- SAN MATEO, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Aria Systems (http://www.AriaSystems.com), the leading provider of cloud billing and subscription management solutions, today announced that Mozy, the online backup service from EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC), has selected the Aria Platform Enterprise Edition to automate the billing of its online backup services. Mozy replaced its existing system with the Aria Billing and Subscription Management Platform to improve monetization flexibility, enable Mozy resellers to price and fulfill orders, and help drive the company’s continued rapid growth.

    “Quickly evolving businesses like Mozy need a subscription billing platform with highly flexible monetization capabilities to capitalize on changing market opportunities.”

Since its inception in 2005, Mozy has grown quickly with more than three million customers, 70,000 business users and 70 petabytes of information stored at its multiple data centers around the globe. When the company realized its billing system would not be able to meet its future strategic or operational needs, it sought a subscription management solution that could support its business growth. With an evolving product line extending “beyond backup,” a diverse customer base and a large and growing network of distributors, Mozy needed a reliable system to monetize its global business. The company also needed its billing system to integrate easily with payment processors and operational systems.

Mozy performed a rigorous evaluation of cloud-based billing platforms, ultimately choosing the Aria Platform Enterprise Edition, which enables Mozy to:

    * Manage multiple distribution channels
    * Support a global multicurrency rollout
    * Deliver unmatched flexibility in pricing and plans
    * Provision and activate customers in real-time
    * Provide integrated analytics for market intelligence
    * Allow quick testing of different pricing and packaging offerings to segment offers by geography, customer use scenarios and other demographics

“Our pace of growth has been so fast that our people have been pleading for a billing platform with real flexibility, automation and visibility into our business,” said Russ Stockdale, general manager of Mozy. “After reviewing the leading offerings in the space, we found Aria Systems to be in a class of its own, both in technology as well as expertise. For us, the Aria Billing and Subscription Management Platform means we no longer have to worry about the issues of billing, payments and subscriber management. Aria has it covered.”

“With Mozy being the most trusted online backup company, we’re excited that they’re trusting us with their subscription management,” said Mike Morini, CEO at Aria Systems. “Quickly evolving businesses like Mozy need a subscription billing platform with highly flexible monetization capabilities to capitalize on changing market opportunities.”
