Israeli Company Buys Online Backup Firm, BackupMyTree
21 Sept., 2011 [OBR News Brief] Online backup provider, BackupMyTree announced it was acquired by MyHeritage.com, a popular family network based near Tel Aviv, Israel.
MyHeritage.com, which has 60 million registered members worldwide, said the acquisition expands its technology and services portfolio.
Boulder, CO-based BackupMyTree was founded by Cliff Shaw and Ryan Spohn in 2010. The company helps generate and create remote, off-site copies of family tree files.
