Livedrive signs an exclusive agreement with DSGi to market its award-winning online backup service through over 700 Currys and PC World stores, as well as online at Dixons.co.uk

(PRWEB) August 13, 2009 -- Livedrive Internet announced today that it has entered into an exclusive and wide ranging agreement with DSG international PLC (DSGi) for the distribution of Livedrive's online backup, remote access and file sharing service.

Livedrive, an online file storage, backup, remote access and file sharing service, will be available from Currys, PC World and Dixons.co.uk from 6 August, with two levels of annual online storage available to customers; a 50Gb option and an unlimited storage option.

Under the terms of the agreement, DSGi, one of Europe's leading electrical retailers, will market the service as an attached product with new PC and laptop sales and, for the first time, as a standalone product at stores across the UK and Ireland. Livedrive services will additionally be marketed to the millions of customers to whom DSGi provides technical support and maintenance services through The TechGuys.

Commenting on this agreement, Andrew Michael, CEO of Livedrive Internet stated: "Online backup and cloud storage is a growth market. Customers can now purchase the service through the UK's market leading network of retail outlets in addition to online, which is an exciting development for our industry. We are proud that DSGi has selected Livedrive to offer to their customers."

Jonathan Hirst, DSGi's Sales Director, stated, "We are committed to providing our customers with exceptional Value, Choice and Service. The Livedrive product is an excellent addition to our new services range and will change the way our customers store, access and share their information."

Livedrive have invested heavily in developing a reliable and professional product for the growing online backup market. This emerging market is being driven by unprecedented growth in the creation of digital data, such as photos, video, and music and by the growing trend amongst consumers to have more than one device, such as a desktop computer, laptop and mobile device. Livedrive works automatically to keep valuable data safe and make it available on all the customer's devices.
